David's obituary
David served in and retired from the United States Army. He enjoyed all things NASCAR, his favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys, and he enjoyed fishing and bowling.
Over his last few years, David enjoyed attending church and volunteering at a local Hope Center.
David was preceeded in death by his wife of 27 years, Sylvia VanGorder.
He leaves behind many who loved and cared for him.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 1 PM at Providence Cemetery in Mathews, VA. The family will hold a celebration of life after the service from 2-4 PM at a location that will be determined at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, David asked that donations be made to Kingdom Life Church of Southampton, Virginia.
