I can hardly believe David has passed away plus several of his siblings,  my cousins. Remembering when he'd visit our place  with his family. We youngsters would see how high we could make the hens fly and whatever mischief we could find.  The good old days they were and great memories.  Thinking of Joan and all the Stoodley family today.  God Bless.

I can hardly believe so many of my Stoodley cousins have passed on. Remembering David and his siblings when they'd visit our place and we'd see who could make  the hens fly the highest, etc. The good old days they were. Thinking  of David,  Joan and family today. Mere words can not express my sorrow for your terrible loss. Dave was my boss, then my teacher and later my mentor and friend. You can’t work hundreds of night shifts with someone without getting to really know them. I know he cherishes she’d his family, his faith and loved his work. He had a remarkable work ethic and even when feeling unwell soldiered on. He will be missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

Dave, your fight is over. Rest easy my friend. ❤️

Wade and Faye Earle- Joan and Family. So sad to hear of Dave's passing. Always remember his encouraging words over the years and his strong faith. Never forget this pass spring when we meant him at pizza delight in Labrador city and asked him how he was doing. He said I can't loose, if I live it's a bonus and if I die I am going to a far better place. Praying for you and your family during this time that you will find strength and comfort. God Bless.

I have many fond memories of Dave. Many childhood family vacations (he'd never turn down a good waterside!), family meals and get togethers.
When I was only 20 years old and started at Wabush Mines, he took me under his wing and mentored me. He never sheltered me from the "man's world" of mining, but had full confidence that I could do any job in there. He will forever be a major part of my success in the mining industry.
He was always the friendly face in a crowd who would bring a smile to your lips. Dave was a friend that I truely considered family. You will be forever missed. ❤

To Joan and Stoodley family
Sad to hear about David passing. He certainly fought very bravely with his sickness and continued to pursue to the end. David was very encouraging to our family over the years we spent in Labrador. OH! How we enjoyed our times together, great conversations and always had a laugh before leaving. Our son, Adam will always remember the fishing and hunting stories. He speaks so highly about "uncle David." His memory will live in our hearts for sure. David has left a Christian legacy. Not only for his family but all who walked in his presence. Farewell our good friend. We are looking with anticipation, to a glorious hope of meeting again on Resurrection morning. See you there!!
