He was predeceased by his grandparents, Ray Benfield, Willie and Earleen Hefner, and Emma Starnes, and his uncle's Phil Starnes and Scottie Starnes.
A Celebration of Life for Shane will be held on August 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM at 712 Old Friendship Rd.
Shane had a passion for Italian food and Dr Pepper, and enjoyed reading books on spirituality. He was a fan of country music, particularly Johnny Cash and Jelly Roll. Shane loved watching alien documentaries, criminal shows, and comedies on TV, as well as the movie The Wolf of Wall Street. He enjoyed playing poker, spending time with the people he loved, running stairs, and lifting weights. Shane cherished vacations to the beach and mountains, and his favorite color was blue.
Shane's personality was best described as having a great sense of humor and a big, kind heart. He never met a stranger, and his greatest lessons revolved around teaching kindness and love. As a teenaged mother, Phyllis recalls how her son taught her unconditional love, the best feeling she had ever known. Shane will be remembered for his legacy of love, knowledge, and kindness. In the words of his mother, "Shane, I love you and will forever miss you, (My Bright Eyes). Your Momma will forever miss you!"💔 Everyone will miss you my beautiful child!!!! You can sit and talk to Jesus now, what an awesome conversation that will be!🙏❤️ All my Love, Mom
