David Sose, born July 27, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on August 11, 2025, at his home in Sunny Isles, Florida. He was the son of Saul and Josephine Sosewitz, both deceased.

David is survived by his beloved sister, Ilene; his sons, Brent Clapacs and wife Patrice, and Lex Sykes and wife Mackenzie; and his six cherished grandchildren: Caitlin, Alex, Paige, Lottie, Theo, and Wolfie. He is also survived by his beloved cousins, who held a special place in his life.

A graduate of Florida State University in 1962, David pursued his passion for photography, traveling the art circuit and sharing his striking photos with audiences far and wide. Though he lived most of his life in Miami, he was an avid traveler who spent much time abroad, capturing the beauty of the world through his lens. He also had a deep love for the Florida Everglades, where he spent countless hours studying snakes and the unique wildlife of the region.

Known for his wit, humor, and warmth, David deeply loved his family and treasured the time he spent with his sister, sons, grandchildren, and extended family.

Friends and family will be welcome to gather at a future date to celebrate David’s life and to honor his wishes by returning his ashes to the Everglades he so dearly loved.
