I was saddened to hear about David's passing.  He's been on my Prayer List and in my thoughts for a long time.  I know that he was a faith-based guy, so I have a pretty good idea where he is now.  In Glory.

I knew David through business.  He and I would get on each other's nerves periodically, but we had a mutual respect and fondness for each other.  He was one of the most hardworking people I know.  Very smart and great attention to detail.  Just the kind of guy you need in the Lab and Purchasing.

When David and I would talk on the phone, I would ask him how the family was doing.  There was an immediate love and brightness in his voice.  He had such pride and love for his family.

To David:  God's speed, my friend.  I hope to see you on the other side.

Poem of Sympathy

A warrior's heart, steadfast and true,

Fought battles seen by only a few.

His final fight, with courage worn,

Leaves a legacy deeply borne.

In family’s arms, his strength remains,

Through grief’s embrace and silent pains.

Oliver, blazing a path anew,

Jeremie, holding dreams that grew.

Each child carries his unyielding light,

Through every storm, through day and night.

And you, Maria, his partner, his shield,

Stand in the love he could never yield.

Though time may blur this sorrow’s sting,

His story echoes in all you bring.

With every memory, every tear,

Know those who care are always near.
