David ‘Andy’ Anthony Shipley, age 60, was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2021, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

David Shipley was born on November 16, 1960, to the late David Carroll Shipley and Barbara Ann Canter Shipley. David grew up in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and attended North Forsyth High School where he graduated in 1979.

David met his wife Susan Brown Shipley on February 27, 1991, and they married on August 23, 1994. David worked at Riddle Tractor since February 20, 1997, as a head mechanic and a service/warranty manager. David attended Fulp Moravian Church where he was a Sunday School leader and an active member. He was a loving husband, a father of two daughters, a grandfather to two grandsons, and a friend to many.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his Uncle Glen Roger Renegar and wife Helen Marshall Renegar; Uncle George Albert Canter Jr and wife Linda Sue Bowles Canter.

David is survived by his loving wife Susan Brown Shipley; his eldest daughter, Miranda Brooke Shipley Atkins; his youngest daughter, Maggie Rose Shipley; and two grandsons, Emmett and Jensen Atkins.

There will be no funeral or memorial service.
