Farewell, my friend. You were an important part of my life for a very short time. Fate was not always kind to you but you held on, making your way in a life and world in transition and upheaval. You watched over your siblings and parents more than they knew, taking on much responsibility at a young age.  It seems you were searching for your place in the world. Many times you spoke of Wanda, so I knew it was a very good thing when your lives finally joined and then had a beautiful child together.  They were your place in the world and I am so happy you had that. I'm proud of all you accomplished, and I know your family will miss you so much. Rest in a well-earned peace, buddy.
So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. Our thoughts & prayers are with you.
Wanda, my mom told me that David had passed away.   My condolences to you and your family.  I know we have not seen each other for quite some time but do remember the good old days.   God bless you and your family.  Bea (Beatrice)
Wanda, I am so sorry for your loss. I am deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. He was my best friend for years. So much time laughing, giggling and enjoying life. He brought a smile to the face of anyone around him. Recently I was recalling One of my fondest memories to a friend.  It was the moment my mother was sitting on the floor laughing with tears pouring down her face as David goofed his way through putting a bed together in our home. That was 30 minutes out of years of shenanigans. So many many wonderful moments together. I will think of him always.
What I will always remember about Schnase is that he loved working for Job Service. When he retired he had me hide his computer away just the way it was. About a year later he was back out of nowhere one Friday afternoon and we set it back up. He had a couple more stints helping out in Appeals until his wrist issues worsend and he could no longer handle the typing.
Dave was always such a pleasure to work and visit with. We would visit about how things were going, our love for gardens, and boy would he beam when he talked about his bride. He had such a love for life and the people who were blessed with sharing it. He left a footprint in my life, and I am better for having known him. Rest peacefully, Dave. Your legacy will live on through those that care for you.
I had the privilege of getting to know Dave about 21 years ago.  He welcomed me into the wonderfully crazy Schnase clan.  No doubts that he loved the Lord Jesus! I will look forward to seeing him again..in heaven ❤️

Dave was a very good friend and an exceptional co-worker.  I enjoyed spending time with Dave and our discussions about the Unemployment Insurance program.  Dave had a wealth of knowledge about the program and we always enjoyed discussing UI issues.  He will be deeply missed by so many.  My condolences to his wife Wanda and family.
As close neighbors, there are so many stories and memories with Dave, Wanda and Lindsey I cannot pick just one (Except the time he walked through our screen door to our deck.  Thought we -Dave, Wanda, Dan & myself -  would  never stop laughing).  He was such a servant to our neighborhood always helping where ever he could.  Our family loved him and his family and they will always be close to our hearts. He will be missed. We know he is so happy in heaven .
