Just a silly photo that captured Dave's sense of humor at work. Funny quips, emails, random written notes, or a smile from across the room - Dave, whether present or not, always put a smile on your face.

2019, Job Service North Dakota, East Divide Avenue, Bismarck, ND, USA
Job Service ND Holiday Luncheon. L to R: Erin Pringle, Tom Hulm, MacKenzie Dutchuk, Dave. I joined the Job Service ND team in May 2017. Dave would stop by the office and strike up a conversation with me and show me pictures of his garden. A year or so later, I would have the pleasure of working with Dave when I joined the Appeals team. He was always ready with a joke, a kind word, and encouragement. While he didn't work with us full time anymore, he was always a part of our team, and would join us for the holiday luncheon. This year he brought "dad" jokes that he distributed to people to randomly share with the room. I'll always be thankful for the time I had with Dave.

I’m heartbroken to read of Dave’s passing but so encouraged to know that he loved our Savior Jesus Christ. May Wanda / Families find comfort and peace in the days ahead knowing that he is home with our Merciful Loving Gracious Savior Jesus Christ. Dave was always such a kind man with a Spicy kick of humor. He will be missed but never forgotten. Love Ron and Diane Brunner/Family

There are people in this world you come across, even for a moment, where you realize "thats my guy". Being a fellow transplant of Dave's daughter Lindsey in MN, I was lucky enough to get to take the trip out to Biskmark to meet everyone and get to know what a wonderful place it is. Upon arrival, I felt like I was at home, a welcome sign and all. I felt more taken care of than I do my by my own parents most days, and was able to effortless weave in and out of conversation through my time with Dave during that trip.
Every time he came to town for a visit I would do my best to find time to say hello, and every time it was like a conversation with an old friend, regardless of the years between us in age. He was a good man who raised a great family, and he will be missed.
