Its hard to qualify how big a place David holds in my heart. I was fortunate enough to share a love of listening to and creating music with him for over 30 years. I've played with a lot of musicians over the years, none of them were anything like Dave. He possessed such a remarkable mastery of music, no matter the instrument in his hands. I often wondered if the part of his brain that contained all the languages he spoke also gave him his super powers in music (or maybe the other way around). Perhaps he was just so gifted in so many ways that most of us feel fortunate to be able to be in his orbit. Either way, I felt so lucky to share that time and that passion with Dave for so long. I regret not making more music with him when I had the chance.
