When I think of Uncle Dave, I think of rosey cheeks, a beard, love, Santa Claus, a fixer, jolly, an engineer, a genius, a loving brother to my Dad, Aunt and Uncles, funny, Apple Pie Moonshine, Suspenders, Someone who will drop everything to help someone in need, and not just someone he knew.

Most of all, when I think of Uncle Dave, I think of Aunt Brenda Roberts. I think of a love between the two of them that stood the test of time. A 45 yr marriage that was still as sweet as it was when we were kids. They could be seen at any given time still holding hands, with ones hand lovingly rested on the other's leg, rummage saling, watching sunsets and just truly being happy together.

Most of us will never experience a love like theirs, one with someone who you don't "have" to love, but you choose to, over and over, year after year.

It is with such a heavy heart that I now must offer my deepest and sincerest condolences to my Dad, My Aunts and Uncles, My cousins and to the absolute love of his life. Uncle Dave lost his fight yesterday, and boy did he fight! He was a strong man, but he was tired and now, may he Rest in Peace.
