David's obituary

David Bryce Rheinlander died January 11, 2023 in Seguin, Texas at the age of 63. He was one of the sweetest souls around, and he will always be remembered with love for the kindness and respect he showed to everyone he met.

David (Dave hereinafter) was born on US Naval Station Subic Bay in the Republic of the Philippines, to Virgil Oswald Rheinlander of New Braunfels, Texas and Dorothy Annette Mills Rheinlander of Big Wells, Texas. He was married for 38 years to Amanda Watson Rheinlander, and they have one son, Austin T. Rheinlander.

After spending a year at Texas State University, Dave left school and moved to Houston to work his way up in the construction trades. He started out working as a sheetmetal apprentice on large utility projects, and over time he gained experience as both craftsman and supervisor in all manners of construction, and he had a true love for high-end commercial building construction, and the challenge of seeing a building project from its inception on paper to its finish on schedule, using above-standard procedures while staying under budget. He was quick-thinking, highly-skilled, and an excellent communicator. It was work he enjoyed until heart disease precluded him from continuing with the fast pace and physical demands of commercial construction.

Dave spent his last five years in Seguin, Texas, retired and fishing every chance he got.
