Dave's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David "Dave" Reddick, who left this world on August 21, 2024. Born on April 28, 1940, Dave was a man whose life touched many and who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dave is survived by his beloved daughter, Cynthia Reddick Mitchell, and cherished granddaughter, Tonya Hollingsworth. In his later years, his constant companion was his beloved cat, a source of great comfort and joy for him.
As a man who held simple pleasures in high regard, Dave derived great joy from life's simpler aspects. He had a fondness for popcorn, treasured his Mountain Dew, and enjoyed delving into the pages of his favorite book, the Bible. Among his favored pastimes were playing Spades, partaking in recreational activities with his loyal cat, and listening to his favorite band, the Statler Brothers.
Known for his love of the final frontier, Star Trek was Dave's favorite movie series. When he wasn't at home or at work, Dave could often be found at his favorite local spot, the Radio Station WAIM/WRIX. Despite his varied interests, nothing mattered more to Dave than his family, which was evident in his caring and loving personality.
Throughout his life, Dave believed in the importance of happiness, often sharing that the best lesson he could impart on anyone was to always choose joy. This belief was encapsulated in his endeavors, with his greatest accomplishments revolving around his contributions to the radio industry and, most significantly, the love and care he provided for his family.
The vacuum left by Dave's departure is significant, yet his memory and legacy live on through his family, his lessons, and his contributions. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life lived to the fullest, filled with love and an unwavering commitment to family. Rest in peace, Dave. You will be greatly missed.
