David Adams, 75, of Benton, IL, passed away on October 07, 2022  at Benton Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

David was born on January 18, 1947 to Ruby and James Adams in Rockford, Illinois. David graduated from Stiritz High School in Stiritz, Illinois. He joined the Marines and was honorably discharged in 1966. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #64 in Benton for many years.  If you ever met David you would feel like you had known him for years.  He never met a stranger.  He was married for twenty-five years to Eva Cole. She survives.  His first job was in the coal mines and was self-employed for most of his life in landscaping.  David was predeceased by his parents; brothers, James T. Adams, Carl Adams, Ralph Adams; sisters, Stella Cooper, Betty .He is survived by his daughter, Linda Swan; two grandchildren, Dalton and Marissa Swan; brother, John; sister, Mary; sister, Helen. There will be a memorial service [date & time] at Morton and Johnston Funeral home in Benton, IL.
