David's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Rasmussen, who passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023. Born on August 26, 1940, David lived a life dedicated to his family, hobbies, and the causes he cared for deeply.
David is survived by his loving wife, Diane Rasmussen, with whom he shared many cherished years together. He was a proud father to his sons David, John, and James Rasmussen, and to his daughter, Darlene Rasmussen. He was also a beloved stepfather to Lara Cerami. His bond with his granddaughters, Olivia and Julia Cerami, was a source of immense pride and joy for him.
David's life was enriched by his many passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as savoring an ice-cold soda or cheering on his favorite team, the NY Giants. His love for photography, fishing, and model trains was surpassed only by the joy he took in sharing these interests with those he loved. David's keen eye for capturing life's fleeting moments will be remembered through the beautiful photographs he left behind.
Bermuda held a special place in David's heart and was his preferred vacation spot. The serene landscapes and warm sunsets of the island filled him with a sense of peace and tranquility.
Known for his charitable heart and generous spirit, David had a passion for supporting causes dear to his heart, notably St. Judes. His dedication to helping others will remain a testament of his kind and caring character.
A viewing for David will be held at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home on December 18, 2023 from 4-7pm. Family, friends, and others whose lives David touched are invited to attend and share fond memories of his life. Funeral will be at St Catharine’s Cemetery in Sea Girt at 11 am.
As we mourn the loss of David, we also celebrate a life well-lived. His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those who were privileged to know him.
