It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David Rasch, born on June 22, 1978, who left us all too soon on September 18, 2025. David was a man of simple pleasures, known for his love of Toll House crackers, sweets, and a good cup of Tea. He had a keen eye for performances, particularly enjoying those of George Bush Sr.

David was a resident of Lancaster, S.C., since 2025, having moved from Burnsville, MN, where he was raised since 1991. He was a proud graduate of Burnsville High School, Class of 1999. His interests were those of a content soul, with a soft spot for Duplos, shopping for snacks, and watching his beloved cats at play.

The light of David's life continues to shine through his surviving family: his father, David Bruce Rasch; his brother, Nathan Rasch; his sister, Erica Waugh; and his sister-in-law, Lisa Rasch. His life was also enriched by the loving memory of those who have passed before him: His mother, Melany Rasch; his grandfathers, Hugh Via and Henry Rasch; and his grandmothers, Alice Via and Donna Rasch.

We remember David not for the length of his life, but for the depth of it - for his love, his joy, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him. Though we grieve his passing, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
