It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Powell II, a man of exceptional strength and kindness, who left us on December 13, 2025. Born January 24, 1980, David personified a combination of wit, boldness, and humor that made him a joy to be around.

David had always cherished his family, being predeceased by his loving Grandmother, Ruby, his Father, David Powell Sr., his Sister, Cynthia Powell, and his Cousin, Jimmy Powell JR. Despite these painful losses, David remained resilient and lived a full and rewarding life.

He leaves behind a large and loving family who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his caring Mother, Cynthia Duffie, his Brothers, Marlon and Jermey Powell, and a bevy of sisters: Cassandra Duffie, Stephanie Davis, Erika Powell, Denesha Powell, Danielle Powell, Natasha Duffie, and Markeisha Duffie.

David was a man of many accomplishments, but his greatest triumphs were not necessarily tangible. His contagious sense of humor, distinctive personality, and the way he treated others were unparalleled. However, it is noteworthy to mention that he was a proud graduate of Cuero High School and a skilled culinary chef, two achievements he held in high regard.

In the midst of our grief, we find comfort in the lessons David left us with. He taught us the value of strength in the face of adversity and the power of kindness in a world too often devoid of it. As we remember David, we remind ourselves to uphold these values and honor his memory.

May David Powell II rest in peace, and may his spirit continue to inspire those he has left behind.
