David's obituary
On Thursday, December 1, 2022, dad passed away.
He was "all in" on the things that he loved: his wife, Anne, playing the guitar and singing, riding his motorcycle (had to be a Harley), mowing a meticulous lawn, his dogs and his girls, Kari and Jen. He was our guide in future planning, he talked about finance as though he was a teacher, and he was able to sing and play exactly like his heroes, Neil Diamond, Eric Clapton, Willy Nelson, Billy Joel and Elton John.
Dad loved both Kevin and Keith like sons and always reminded us that he loved us and was proud of us. He taught us a great deal about life and he sacrificed to give us everything we wanted. He was generous and kind.
He loved a good comedy or bad British mystery (Agatha Chrisie and Poirot). We have many happy memories of dad. Playing softball in the yard, swimming in the pool at home or in the ocean in Florida, summer BBQ's, and dancing at our weddings. Dad looked forward to summer at the cottage when we spent time with Uncle Ted and the Quarry Bay crew. He even ran the length of a marathon along the Rama road just to say he could. We enjoyed many Christmas dinners with Auntie Eva and Uncle Frank although he loved it when the ornaments were put away for another year. He liked things "just so" and where they belong.
Dad enjoyed poker nights when we were little. He was a savvy card player and enjoyed the occasional board game - he never let us win.
Dad, we love you and know you are at peace.
