Dearest Pete, Maia, Elinor, David Sr. and Mona,

I have no words at this time to express my profound grief and shock at David's passing.  Among my best memories of Henry's childhood are of our kids laughing, swimming, messing around, BBQ's and Haloweens and Christmas Eves. I remember a particular day when my son was recovering from scoliosis surgery at UNMH... Pete and David came to visit and had us all laughing... a bright day in such a difficult time.

I close my eyes and see David floating on an air mattress and enjoying  a large ice cream cone poolside, his laughter and discussing all manner fo things with him from a real young age. Rest easy, sweet child.

Sincerely and with a heavy heart,

Christie Marrs (and Cameron and Henry)

Dear Pete, Maia, Eli & fa…
Dear Pete, Maia, Eli & family, our thoughts, hearts & prayers are with you all.  We will forever treasure our time shared with David during his visit to Australia 🇦🇺.  Such a beautiful soul both inside and out.   Grateful to have such beautiful memories of a kind, passionate, inspiring & handsome young man that will always live on xx
Maia & Pete, while I did not know David, he sounds incredible which is not surprising knowing you two. My heart breaks for you. Sending you love. May David’s memory be a blessing.
Pete, Maia, and Eli… Heather, Mittens, and Judy.  (And all spouses and family).  I was so broken to hear of your loss.  Please know we are thinking of you and love you all so much.  When Heth called me my first question was “wait isn’t he still 8?”   Because that’s how I’ll remember him.  Playing with allllll the phones at my AT&T store.  Such fascination.  Be at rest young man.
Pete, Eli, Maia we have you in our thoughts and prayers. We remember David with his big beautiful smile and the warmth he always greeted us with. Francisco remembers him fondly from the times he met him. We love you and are here for anything you need. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
David was one of my favorite students. His supportive, caring nature partnered with his sharp wit and bold humor in a way that lifted the atmosphere of the entire classroom. It seemed he loved nothing more than giving people a reason to smile. His presence was warm, safe, and inviting to all around him. I will remember him in his smile and the special twinkle of his eyes when he knew he knew he got through the barrier of the day down into the person he was trying to make laugh. It is a tragedy that he is gone, but his impact will remain in the lives of those lucky enough to have known him.
I had the opportunity to engage with David when he was a young adult, and I was struck with the incredible poise and charisma he carried. The latter was particularly striking. I believe the topic of discussion was neuroscience, brain function, and the like--David had a passion on the topic--and I came away so impressed with his ability and inclination to engage, to share his enthusiasm and solicit the same in others. Yes, he did the bulk of the talking...and it was fascinating. What a bright light, I remember thinking. I offer my condolences on a life too short.
Thinking back on all of the memories I made with you sweet boy and I wouldn’t change a single one for anything in this world. I love you always and hope to see you again some day. My condolences go out to his family❤️
Maia, Pete, & Ellie — we heartbroken to hear of the loss of David. Keeping you all in our thoughts and our hearts.
I met  David at a party with his father celebrating his father’s best friends birthday and I was just blown away at what an incredibly powerful young man David was. I can honestly say the 20 minute conversation I had with an 14 year old impacted me. His fire is undeniably voracious. Always will be.
I know that David has a voice like not many. I heard it when I was close to him. This voice will always be here, in my heart … together with the love I have for you both, Pete and Maia.

We remember that sweet lil guy who would show up at our door to see if “Blue can play.”

Although younger & at times I’m sure a bit of a pest, David was always quick to include Kieran & was protective of her when it came to the other kids in the neighborhood.

Always a warm smile & a wave when he didn’t have the time to chat, David always made you feel seen & loved.

We love you all so very much & our hearts hurt deeply for you & what you’re dealing with. Please do not hesitate to reach out & let us know of any way we can support you through this difficult time.

Sending love & gentle hugs from our clan,

Mike, Krisinda & Kieran Bella (Blue)

💔❤️

Randy and I are devastated by your loss.  Our thoughts, prayers, and love are with you and your family.

Pete & Maia, we are holding you and your families close to our hearts. We have a wonderful memory of a rowdy Frontier brunch with David and the two of you. Cheeseburgers, Western Hash Browns and lots of laughs. We were so lucky to share that time with you and David. May you and yours be surrounded and swaddled with love & care as you heal in your own way and at your own pace. Sending our love and strength. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
