Mandy, I was profoundly saddened to hear about David’s passing. My deepest condolences to you, his family, friends, students, and everyone whose life he touched. Sending love. 

David never knew me, and we only communicated a few times on Facebook, but this young man touched me with his kindness and ability to teach. I will deeply miss him.

7th period

Mr Montgomery was by far the best teacher ever, even though 7th period math was a very crazy class we also did enjoy his company and jokes we are deeply sorry for are 7th period mischiefs, no teacher will fill the the place of his. Being in his class room now without him is a very sad experience I can picture all the good times with him. May he rest In forever peace

Dave was a good gamer and even better person. Lizzy and I enjoyed many a game of Ticket to Ride, Pandemic and especially Cosmic Encounter together while at Westmont. We mourn his passing and look forward to joining him at the table again in heaven. For all those grieving his loss, we pray for the comfort of Christ, who conquered death to ensure that this separation is not forever.

Mandy I am so sorry for your lost Mr. Montgomery was the best teacher and person in general he was always there if you needed a laugh or just to talk or scream. He was such a funny and up sprited person he never went a day with out telling some type of joke dad jokes were his favorite or math jokes you really never seen Mr. Montgomery mad or upset irritated some times but he never let it affect his day. Mr. Montgomery was my teacher his first year at hilmar high his second year I was his TA and I can't tell you one day out of those two years he was there that I did not want to go to his class. Lunch time in his classroom was always a good time he always had music playing or he'd have us do math riddles and tell jokes Mr. Montgomery really created a safe space for any one and everyone at hilmar high. We all loved him and we will always remember you Mr. Montgomery 

I had the absolute pleasure of going through my credential program with David. His love of teaching and board games, and gis cheery demeanor were so refreshing. We had a small group talking about someday meeting up in-person to play games together. I am so sad that we missed this opportunity. My condolences to his family

Very sorry for this loss. He was not only an amazing teacher but an ever more amazing friends. David Montgomery was the entire reason I was able to graduate from highschool, and im so thankful for that, and meeting him was fun, he was always so kind and always had his door open to all, and gave amazing advice. he was taken too soon but I hope he rests easy. Sending love and prayers. 

mr montgomery you were the best teacher a student could’ve asked for. you taught me in hilmar high both years you were here and no matter what you’ve always supported and believed in me and i know you wanted me to succeed. thank you so much, for everything mr montgomery.

RIP David! You were a great Star Trek Attack Wing community friend and I was honored to have met you in person and call you friend. My prayers to the family.
