Dear Mitchell family -
I am so very sorry for the loss of your loving husband and father. Words cannot ease the pain that you all are feeling at this time. Please cherish the memories that you have created as a family. Share those memories and laughs with one another, tell the grandkids all the funny things that happened and all of the adventures that were taken. Family is so very precious and losing a member is devastating. Love one another and lean on one another.

Dave and Melanie Parker

Dear Melinda,
It is funny how some of the most unassuming people can impact your life and memories so greatly. Little did we realize when first meeting you and Dave, sitting in front of us on your first visit to Tehachapi Mountain Vineyard, how many times our lives would intersect. Dave’s face was one of the first faces we saw early on Sunday mornings, setting up, making coffee, serving communion, ushering and just being present to serve in any way he was able. He knew that God had given him the gift of service and made the most of it; how faithful he was to “sign up and show up” for so many years. When we try to define the gift of service, Dave is the first person who comes to our minds. But beyond that, Dave was just a great down to earth, “salt of the earth guy”. We loved his tri-tip! We loved sharing movie and restaurant “reviews”, adventures in travel, news of family and friends, prayer requests and just serving alongside him. We loved the adoration and appreciation he displayed for you and for his family. We loved his faithfulness. We will always cherish our memories and be grateful for time spent together. It is hard for us to imagine you without him Melinda, and we know you are missing him every moment. Know that you have our love and prayers and that we hold you very close to our hearts.
