We are deeply saddened to share that David Robert McNeilly, aged 76, of Vacaville, California, passed away on October 24, 2024. David was born on September 23, 1948, in the golden city of San Francisco, California to the late Robert and Frances.

David's life was enriched by the love and laughter shared with his family and many friends. He cherished his 53 beautiful years of marriage to his beloved wife, Karen. Together, they nurtured a loving family that includes their two daughters, Angela and Laura, who, along with their mother, survive him. A devoted husband and father, David was also a proud grandfather to three cherished grandchildren: Emma, Jonathan, and Ava. His family circle also includes his favorite sons-in-law, Martin and Brooks.

In addition to his immediate family, David is survived by his siblings, Jim, Robin, and Rosemary.

Professionally before his retirement, David was in hardwood flooring, dedicating nearly five decades to his craft. His hard work and designs have left an incredible mark on countless homes and businesses throughout the Bay Area.

A man of many passions, David enjoyed playing golf, visiting Yosemite National Park, and rooting for his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. Known for his quiet yet impactful presence, David will also be fondly remembered for his wit, generosity, and remarkable resilience.

David’s legacy will remain an inspiration to all who knew him. He leaves behind a world that is undoubtedly brighter for his presence and visibly dimmer for his loss. He will be profoundly missed, more than words can express, but his memory will endure.
