It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of David McNees, a remarkable gentleman of immense talent and heart, who left us on August 11, 2025. Born on January 2, 1974, and cherished by his loving family, David left an indelible imprint of kindness and diligence on those who knew him.

A dedicated son, brother, father, and grandfather, David McNees is survived by his beloved mother, Geraldine Hogue, his sister Patricia Stewart (Tom), Step sisters Trina Taggert and  Rhonda Williams (Kenneth), his sons Jonathan Smith, Jacob McNees, Joshua McNees, his daughter Dorothy McNees, and his grandson, Jude McNees. He was predeceased by his step-father, Ronnie Lee Hogue, his step brother, Ronnie Duane Hogue. and step brother John Lewis Hogue 

David was a man of simple pleasures. His favorite foods, orange sodas, and cookies and cream ice cream sandwiches, reflected his fun-loving nature. He possessed a deep love for the outdoors, with fishing being his favorite recreational activity.

David was best described as a person with a big, caring heart. His industrious work ethic was evident in his diverse career. His ventures included roles in the shrimping industry, construction, and mechanical work. He was a man who truly mastered many abilities.

Ultimately, David's legacy lies in his children. The strength of character and the values he instilled in them will continue to resonate and influence future generations. His love, guidance, and positive influence will live on through them.

We mourn the loss of David McNees, a man who worked diligently, cared deeply, and loved unconditionally. His kindness, his unwavering work ethic, and his profound love for his family will be remembered by all those who were fortunate to have known him.
