David's obituary
David McNair, 79, of Homosassa, FL, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2022 .
David was born on March 10, 1943 to Muriel Dennison McNair and John Edward McNair in Boston, Massachusetts. He grew up in Natick Mass before moving to Concord, NH in High School. After graduating from Concord High School in 1961, he served in the Navy and went to Sonar School in Key West Florida during Vietnam.
After the war, he returned home to Concord, NH where he started working in the Tanning Industry. He went on to Marry and raise 4 children, Christine McNair Harmon of Franklin Mass, Twins Sandy McNair and Sue McNair Towslee of Sunderland VT, and John McNair of Hillsborough, NH.
David spent many hours coaching his kids athletic teams or cheering them on from the sidelines. He enjoyed sharing his love of athletics with whoever wanted to learn. He was a natural athlete and enjoyed a multitude of sports.
David was also passionate about Music. He was talented in many instruments, but often found his home behind a keyboard. He loved playing in Ceilidhs up in Prince Edward Island, Canada where he spent nearly every summer at his cottage over the last 35 years. Anyone who knew David knew that he was happiest surrounded by music and other musicians who shared his same passion. He loved singing Karaoke, or just singing around the house. In his earlier days he enjoyed Golf, Tennis, Kayaking, and skiing to name a few. He loved the ocean, and spent a lot of his time on the beach. One of his favorite saying's was "salt water cures everything".
David was predeceased by His parents Muriel Dennison McNair and John Edwards McNair. Sisters Barbara (McNair) Pinhero, and Phyllis (McNair) King. He is survived by his Children Christine McNair Harmon, Sandy McNair, Sue McNair Towslee, John McNair. Grandchildren Callahan Harmon, Molly Harmon, Meaghan Harmon, Caroline Harmon, Ava Towslee and Tyler Towslee.
Nieces, Jan Pinhero and Amy Pinhero and Nephews Ken Pinhero and Bob King as well as great Nieces Lilia Lassister, Sam King and Great Nephew Bo Lassiter. As well as many close friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
