David's obituary
David M. Morgan, age 90, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, courageously battling cancer. Born September 4, 1933, in Harriman, Tennessee, he was the youngest and last surviving child of the late Walter and Mary Grace Morgan.
David was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He trained at Tennessee Institute of Electronics, worked in electronics repair for a number of years, before working at Plexco/Chevron for 26 years.
He was a devoted, caring husband and father, sorely missed by his beloved wife of 57 years, Wanda (Todd), loving daughters Tamara (Ferman) Extine and Angela (Dan) Buffalo, and a number of neices and nephews.
David was a quiet, humble, hard-working man of faith and integrity. His intelligence, quick wit and funny sayings will always be fondly remembered.
David had a life-long curiosty and desire to learn and share knowledge with those close to him. He enjoyed hiking, especially in the Smokies, and taking the family on road trips to explore natural and historic sites. He loved the Southwest and realized his dream of living there when he and Wanda retired to the desert town of Carlsbad, NM, for 19 years before moving back to Knoxville. David was an avid fan of sports, especially the University of Tennessee teams and the Atlanta Braves.
In keeping with his wishes, David will be cremated and no public service is planned.
