David Lynn McClung, 61, died on June 25th, 2019 in his home in DeSoto, TX.

David was born in Dallas on October 13th, 1957 to Lloyd and Christene McClung.

He attended Duncanville HS where he played trumpet in the jazz band and was very involved in photography.

At East Texas State University he majored in industrial technology and pledged Lambda Chi. While attending, he met Janet Hayes, who he married on December 20, 1980.

David owned McClung Concrete and worked alongside his brother Mike McClung of McClung Construction for 38 years all over DFW.

He coached soccer and was a mentor to many young men and women. He enjoyed making music, riding his motorcycle, and making and tinkering with things physical and digital. David loved animals and sharing food from his garden. He was constantly visiting family and friends and putting broken things back together.

David is survived by his wife Janet McClung, children Carter McClung and Alicia Hughes, daughter-in-law Kathleen McClung, son-in-law Josh Hughes, and brother Mike McClung. He was Grandpa to Raedynce, Penelope, and Layton.

David was preceded in death by his parents Christene and Lloyd McClung and sister-in-law Denise McClung.
