Brenda, I was so saddened to hear about your father's passing — I'm truly in shock. He sounds like an amazing person, full of warmth and joy, with a smile that lit up the room.

At BOE, I had the pleasure of meeting David, who always displayed kindness and offered valuable guidance. His calm demeanor was impressive, as I never saw him upset. He was especially kind when children were allowed in the workplace.
He will be missed. Rocky and family

I first met David when I joined the BOE in 1986. I was just out of college and was starting my first professional career. When I first met David, he was impeccably dressed and carried himself with such confidence. As we got to know one another, David quickly took on the role of an older brother/ mentor. We were able to talk about anything and everything. He imparted his knowledge, wisdom and life experiences willingly.   It was through this friendship we developed at the BOE, that he guided me towards my legal career.  He was the driving force, that little voice in my ear, telling me to go get that degree.  I can truly say that without David's encouragement I don't know where I'd be or what I would be doing today.

After leaving the BOE, David and I stayed in touched.  We would often get together and catch up on life or get together and go to the car show, we both loved cars and were always previewing the new models.

David had a tremendous impact on my life and knowing the person he was, I know he touched the lives of other in similar ways.

My condolences to the entire Maxwell family.

I will forever remember David and the impact he made on my life.  It is something that I will never forget.  David was like the big brother I never had, always looking out for me and providing me with guidance on life by sharing his knowledge, wisdom and life experiences.  David will forever live on in my heart and in my memories.

G. Martinez

I worked with David at the Board for many years and after I retired and he retired we kept in touch by meeting for lunch every once in a while to catch up on what was happening in our lives.  Dave was so intriguing because he always had a story to tell and knew so much about everything. He was a kind man and a gentleman. I will always remember his infectious laugh and his smile. Dave was a great friend to so many people.  He touched the hearts of countless individuals. I'm so glad that I was able to attend his 85th birthday party. It was great! I will miss my friend. To Denise, Danielle, Meredith and the rest of Dave's family, May God give you peace and comfort. I'm sure your heart is hurting but I hope your special memories will bring you joy.   Love, Marilyn Matisohn

You always supported Andrew and showed up to his Jazz concerts.

In the dictionary next to the phrase "class act" should be a picture of David. Fine man, great friend, a real gentleman. He will be missed.
