David Mark "Dave" Thomas

David Mark “Dave” Thomas, age 70, of Nunica, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born on November 4, 1955, in Muskegon to Franklin Thomas and Jacqueline Thomas Giddings. 

Dave found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a deep love for fishing and enjoyed playing cribbage. His dogs were his loyal companions, bringing him comfort and happiness throughout the years. Known for his sharp wit and infectious sense of humor, Dave had a special talent for making those around him laugh and feel at ease. 

He is survived by his spouse, Brenda Turner; daughters, Brittney (Drew) Gleason and Courtney (Justin) Beck; and grandchildren, Ryker and Delaney Gleason. He also leaves behind his siblings, Sherry Tejchma, Sheila Hilbrand, and Jimmy Thomas; along with his close friend Curtis Hobby. Dave will be fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who held a special place in his life. A celebration of life will be held in late spring or early summer to honor Dave’s memory. Details regarding the date and location will be shared on the “In Memory of David Thomas” Facebook page.
