David Reed Manning, 63, husband of Mary Ann Nelson Manning, of Fountain Inn, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023. Born in Nyssa, OR, he was a son of the late Eldon Deverl and Daisy Arleane Lemon Manning.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by three children, Tracey Ann & Jacob Dorsey of Simpsonville; Rachel Arleane & Ken Alford of Simpsonville; and Jacob David & Rafaela Manning of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Marli, Averi, and Emeri Dorsey and Kenny, Reed, Adelaide, and Emaline Alford; and two sisters Lesta Hermansen and Kristy Fortner.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Deverl Manning.

David's childhood was spent in Oregon, California, and Utah where he enjoyed playing football and an active outdoor life. After marrying Mary Ann Nelson they sat down roots in the Cincinnati area where their three children were raised. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds sports teams. Early in his career David worked for many years as the owner of a videography business filming events like dance recitals, many of which featured his daughters' dance classes.

David was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong faith in his Savior Jesus Christ, a faith which leads the surviving members of his family to look forward to a heavenly reunion.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sep 9th at 1:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 200 Hayworth Drive, Simpsonville SC 29680.
