David was a huge presence for both his neighborhood and for the city as a whole. His participation in community struggles and for Puerto Rico was always inspiring. I met him when I worked at Brooklyn Legal Services Corp A, in Williamsburg. I always liked him & he was always good with me. I am very sorry that I could not be at the memorial. Even so, I will be remembering David.

I was so sorry to hear about David's passing. We worked together at HRC.He was warm,caring,funny and dedicated.Above all  he was truly great to work with!

David Lopez was one of the nicest and finest persons that I know. He was dedicated to the Williamsburg/ Southside community.  He will be missed. May he rest in peace. ❤️

I am incredibly honored to consider you family. From the day we met to your last breath, you always treated me with love and kindness. Your dedication to activism helped shape Williamsburg, Brooklyn into the community it is today, and your advocacy for affordable housing has touched countless lives. I promise to continue your legacy and carry forward the values you cherished. Love forever.
