David Longa, 43, of Middleburg, Virginia, formerly of Monterey, Virginia and Bellingham, Massachusetts, passed away on June 14, 2022. David leaves behind a sister, Joy Grindle, and many loving extended family members, and friends. David shared special bonds with his cousins and always treasured his family. David was a highly skilled craftsman in carpentry and the owner of Highland Woodworking. A lover of nature and the simple life, Dave was never happier than when he was creating custom furniture, camping by the swimming hole with his dog or playing pool with friends. David will be remembered for his artistry, loving heart, wicked sense of humor, and overwhelming kindness to others. A mountainside service of remembrance and celebration of life will take place in Monterey, Virginia, David’s spiritual home for many years, on Thursday, June 30 at 7:00pm.
