In Loving Memory of David H. Lill

David H. Lill, a beloved resident of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away on September 29th. He was born on March 4, 1954, in Philadelphia, PA, to devoted parents Dave and Dorothy Lill.

David spent his formative years in Bucks County, PA, graduating from Central Bucks West and later pursued higher education at Bloomsburg University. His love for the ocean led him to become an integral part of the Ocean City Beach Patrol. In his career, he proudly served as the Director of Aquatics for Palm Beach County, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives.

Dave's heart was captured for 45 wonderful years by his beloved wife, Jane Hesser. Together, they shared the joys of life, parenthood, raising their daughter Kelsey Anne McNaughton (Brandon) and son James David Lill with memories they will cherish. Relishing the roles of doting grandparents to Brandon Jr., Mariah, and Benjamin.

In addition to his immediate family, David is survived by his brother Michael (Michele), and sisters Diane Lill and Donna Hinds (Bruce) and cousins along with 18 nieces and nephews.

Dave was known for his unwavering dedication to water safety and his lifelong commitment to being a ‘Lifeguard for Life’. He was an active member of the Palm Beach Rowing Association and found solace in sailing, rowing, and swimming, living life with the spirit of a true pirate. His faith was an essential part of his life, as he was a devout member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.

His professional involvement extended to the Florida Beach Patrol Chiefs Association, where he made significant contributions to beach safety.

A celebration of Dave’s remarkable life is scheduled for Saturday, November 4th, at 11 AM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Burns Road in Palm Beach Gardens. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering this exceptional man. Memorial contributions may be made in Dave’s name to: Hearts of Palm Center (c/o St. Mark’s Episcopal Church), OCBP Alumni Association, or charity of your choice.

David H. Lill's legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the lessons he imparted, and the love he shared. May his memory continue to inspire all who knew him.
