David's obituary

David Nissen Libman, 90, of Acton, MA, formerly of Peabody and Lexington, MA, passed away on October 12, 2023. He was born September 26, 1933 in Everett and raised in Chelsea. He was the son of  the late Maurice and Florence (Cohen) Libman.

David is survived by his former wife, Joyce (Pizer) Libman, their daughter Judith Libman Muratore, his five grandchildren Alexander and Jonathan Davies, Tyler Libman Dee and her husband Brian Dee, Travis Libman and his wife Stacie (Buco) Libman, Lucas Muratore and his wife Katie Lai Muratore, and his three great-grandchildren Zachary Dee and Jake and Rory Libman. He is also survived by his two sons-in-law Joseph Muratore and Bennett Davies, and one former daughter-in-law, Joan Kennedy Libman, as well as his nephew Barry Libman and his wife Susan Pepple, and his two nieces Marcia Libman, Debbie Libman Harrison and her husband Howard Harrison, and three great-nieces Rebecca, Leah and Naomi Harrison.

David was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Libman Davies, his son, Michael Sanders Libman, his brother Arthur Libman and sister-in-law Rosalyn Libman Stein.

David graduated from Boston University in 1955 with a business degree and began working in the then-new computer industry, starting with IBM in the early 1960's. He went on to start his own successful business, Data Input Service Corporation in Peabody, MA, where he also raised his family and belonged to Temple Ner Tamid.

Outside of his career, David had a passion for sailing, photography, music (especially Jazz) and driving around his beloved North Shore of Boston and all of New England. But, first and foremost, there was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his family- his kids, grandkids and most recently great-grandkids. He always had a joke to tell (both good and bad!), and was never without a piece of chocolate nearby, which made him a big hit with the all the kids (young and old)!

Funeral service will be held at the Pride of Lynn/Chevra Mishna Cemetery in Lynn, MA at 11:00 a.m. on 10/29/2023. See details at:  www.goodrichfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation at  https://www.bafound.org supporting research and awareness of brain aneurysms, in memory of his daughter, Sandra Davies.
