David Leroy Lewis passed away at his residence in Trinity, Texas on September 20, 2021. He was born December 28, 1963 in Dallas, Texas to Odean and Elizabeth (Hopkins) Lewis.

He is preceded in death by his father, and brother Eddie Williams.

David is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Cunningham of Palestine, son Michael Lewis, sister Kimberly Gipson and husband Danny of Wills Point, Texas, brothers Clyde Cunningham, Jr. of Palestine, Boogie Albright, Charles Williams, and James Cox, two nieces, Racheal Gipson and Deanna Gipson, two nephews, Danny Gipson, Jr. and Juan Ortiz, five great-nephews, J.J. Esparza, Jayden and Jordan Bobenhouse, Mason Gipson, and Kash McCallum, three great-nieces, Makayli Gipson, Araceli Pacheco, and Maxine Gipson. Numerous extended family and friends also survive.

David spent the majority of his career as an auto mechanic. In his leisure time he enjoyed his dogs and drag racing. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
