I miss you "VisorBoy". I was waiting for you to come in the other morning playing that annoying "Go Cubs Go" song after your Northsiders beat Brewtown. I was also ready to give it back to you today.

We at least agreed on the Mighty Norseman from Minnesota,  SKOL!!!!

I miss laughing at the clips of Mr Roper, Seinfeld, and how you had to get home to watch Walker Texas Ranger. I think you were the only one who kept that show going.

You had a great heart for people and helping anyone who needed assistance. We were all blessed to have known you. I feel bad for those that never got the chance.

My deepest condolences to Deirdre and Daves family, He was an amazing man

Heavenly Father, we come before you with heavy hearts. We ask for your loving embrace to surround this family and give them peace. May we hold comfort in the cherished memories we hold close and in the knowledge that he is in your Holy presence. AMEN.

Kelli❤️🙏

Condolences extended to family,ms.Kopta, and friends. I had the privilège  of working with Dave at RSW. He trained me in dispatch and always helped me. Dave made an impact on me  my 1st wk covering the exit gate and all systems down and angry customers wanting to exit . He came over and calmly said " we got this" and we did.he always listened to my babble and he smile when i says, * i burned your ears,"  he just laughed and sayif only could get a word in once in a while, it wouldn't hurt" he always put a 100% in a days work. He laid the foundation as a true leader.Dave is missed everyday at work he made a tremendous impact on all the workers in diff.capacities.My prayers always knowing Dave is now resting in peace gives me peace.

I had just moved to Ft Myers from Albuquerque,  NM & showed up for my first day at RSW. I must have looked lost because Dave walked up to me & asked if he could help me. I explained who I was to which he replied, 'Oh yeah, you're that big wig new manager from Mexico.' I corrected him by saying I was the low man on the totem pole from New Mexico.  With that crooked smile he said, 'Don't sell yourself short. You look like you know what you're doing & just lookin' like it is the hard part.'

The three years we worked together allowed me to develop a true admiration & fondness for Dave. He took care of things I didn't know needed taking care of. Dave was definitely more than an employee, he was an example. An example of extreme patience & limitless kindness.  He showed me what it meant to lead others through serving them.  Dave constantly looked for ways to lighten others' loads or ease their burdens. He was tireless in his work ethic & relentless in his efforts.

I miss him every single day.  Knowing Dave was near gave me a sense of security that all was the way it should be & if it wasn't,  he'd make it so. Dave isn't just his name, it's an action word. When something needs handled at work, we still say, 'Can you Dave this up for me?' It's an adjective, 'Dude,  that's the most Dave thing I've ever seen'. Meaning something was handled the way it should have been; the way Dave would have done it.

Three years wasn't enough and yet I feel I knew him for an entire lifetime. He said if he'd caught me earlier,  he'd have kept me from becoming a Chiefs fan. 😀

I could go on and on but I'll close up by saying during my last visit with Dave I told him how much I loved him & thanked him for always making me feel like I mattered. I had the privilege to pray with him & I know he is in the arms of our Savior. What comfort knowing we'll be all be together again. Just like Dave to go & make sure everything is the way it's supposed to be before we get there. Such a Dave thing to do. Prayers for Deirdre, Mom & Dad & his sister.

Miss you big guy- Laura
