Gibson Hooten says, Peter Chaires: " Ditto to your comment " ... David always came from his heart and he knew how to give his heart control over his mind (ego). He was an "artist". I too think of him everyday and wish I could talk to him in human form. I have talked to him in spirit but miss his human form/presence. He is definitely in a "better" place. I would love to be with him some"time" in the "future" .. in his density and dimension. I currently LOVE being with my Earth family.
Still miss Dave everyday. Its a happy/sad thing, when something happens that I think would tickle his funny bone - or just be of interest - and I have to stop myself from calling or texting. Missing him is sad; thinking of him is therapeutic.

As far as acts of kindness fr…
1992, National Forest around Cherokee NC
As far as acts of kindness from David, they happened almost everytime we connected. There were 2 major times that stuck with me in a "pay it forward" kind of way.
1) 1992 Nov. Suzanne was pregnant with Joseph and she and I had planned to go to a meditation workshop at the Wonderland Inn in the Smokey Mountains in NC. We asked David if he would consider going with us and looking after our first son Michael while we attended. He agreed and we all stayed in one of the cabins connected to the hotel. Nights were ice cold there was no heat except for building a fire in the fireplace. David spent 4 days with Michael out in nature, walking, hikeing , talking, mountain streams, wildlife..... David was like a wise uncle wizard and inspiration in getting Michael more aquainted with nature. In our walks together (when not at the workshop), I saw Michael (5 years old) feel so free and happy that David was there. Little did I know that as a man, Michael would connect with his "uncle" whenever he passed on his travels through Atlanta.
2) In one of our conversations in the 90s David picked up that I just needed to get away from stressfulness I was going through. He sent me a flight tickets to come up and visit him and just air out. He and Doodle were there for me.
These two acts have stuck with me and as much trouble I have with humanity, his acts of kindness remind me to "try again" with people and to plant kindness and compassion. Neither of us has had an easy time with humanity. Note a couple of pictures.

Gibson Hooten
1988, Atlanta Piedmont Park old factory/cemetery walk
We decided to "enhance" our day and then set out from where David lived around Piedmont Park. We visited a pub/mexican restaurant, proceeded to take a "trip" just walking around the Piedmont neighborhood. We started finding wrenches everywhere on the street, in the bushes, in the cemetery. The wrenches became our mascot for the day/life. (Think about the symbolism of a wrench, and how many wrenches we all use/find in our lives to tamper with what life presents to us. Boy did we go down a rabbit hole with this!) Also notice the old deserted factory across the street.. another "rabbit hole" experience for us... The whole day was phenominal...An unforgettable, very fun, spiritual part of our "journey". Also if you notice the words that appear where David is sitting on the marble bench. He covers up the Proverb except for what is relevant to him… “ Righteousness is life… and thereof there is no death”. It is ironic that neither of us are/were religious in any way, but very spiritual. In my life I have rarely known anyone as “Righteous” as David. I was always assured of his honesty, compassion and love. I would suspect that all of us who know/knew David have similar feelings. Enjoy the pictures posted of the day.

Live simply and be kind. I feel like David's Amish upbringing taught him alot about keeping life simple, being grateful for what he had and loving everyone. I think he was very smart, but was a man of few words. He spoke only when he had something important to say. He was a hard worker and a self-starter. I would like to think I learned to be more comfortable with silence from David. Now applying it is the key.
