David's obituary

David Wayne Keough, 79, passed away on September 1, 2025, in Gilford, New Hampshire. Born on November 23, 1946, in Exeter, New Hampshire, David remained deeply connected to his home state throughout his life.

A proud veteran, David served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His time in service reflected his strong sense of duty and resilience—qualities that would continue to define him throughout his life.

David was never one to follow the crowd. He marched to his own drum, embracing his individuality and living life on his own terms. His quirky nature and offbeat sense of humor brought joy and laughter to those around him. Whether through a well-timed joke or an unexpected observation, he had a unique way of making people smile.

One of David’s greatest passions was photography. With camera in hand, he spent countless hours exploring the rugged beauty of New Hampshire—the mountains, lakes, and forests serving as both subject and sanctuary. His photographs captured not just landscapes but moments of quiet wonder and reflection that spoke volumes about how he saw the world.

David is survived by his three sons and their spouses: Timothy and Caroline of Pembroke, Massachusetts; William and Kendra of Mannford, Oklahoma; and John and Keyna of Mannford, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren—Emily, Shelton, Zach, Gage, Emma, Mac, and Liam—and three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Colton and Jax

His legacy lives on in the images he captured and the memories he created with those who knew him best. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.

An interment memorial service at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery will be held at a later date, honoring David`s service and sacrifice. Friends and family will be invited to attend and pay their respects
