David Jones 65, of Akron Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Akron General Hospital surrounded by his family, and daughter holding his hand. David was born December 3rd, 1955, in Macon Georgia to Corine and Calep Jones. He lived in Georgia until he was 17 years old, he then moved to Akron Ohio with his Mother and Stepfather Herman Weems. When David was 21, he married Janice Stevens (Jones), and they moved to Cambridge Ohio, where they made it their home for 17 years. David worked for Quality Surfacing for several years traveling to different States. David enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters, working on cars, fishing, and drinking with his friends. He is preceded in death by his Father Calep Jones, his Mother, and Step-Father Corine and Herman Weems, Sister Theresa Weems, Brother Gregory Weems, Mother, and Father-In-Law Jim, and Loretta Stevens. David is lovingly remembered by his daughter; Ashley (Jones) Alloway of Cambridge Ohio, and; two sons Scottie and Skyler Jones also of Cambridge Ohio. Grandsons; Tristen Thomas, Calep Jones, Caden Jones, Diont'e Jones, L.B Alloway, Granddaughter; Brenley Alloway, and one great-granddaughter; Zuriyah Thomas. He leaves behind brothers; Casey (Tawanda) Weems, Grady Weems, Eugene ( Latoria) Weems, Grandville (Jerusalem) Weems, and Sister; Joyce Varner all of Akron Ohio. Many Nieces and Nephews whom he loved very much. Special friends; Lucky, Jay, and brother-in-law James Stevens (Jim Jim). Two sisters-in-law; Tracy and Dee Stevens. David was always the life of the party and kept everyone laughing with his crazy stories. He was always there to help everyone and was everyone's go-to person when something was wrong with their vehicles, helping with home repairs fixing, and building. He was definitely a jack of all trades a title that he carried very well. One of his biggest hobbies was chasing around all the women, he definitely thought he was the lady's men no one could tell him any different. He will be missed and never forgotten or replaced. There will be a direct cremation with a homegoing celebration and repass held on Friday, November 5th, 2021 at 2 pm located at the United Steelworkers Local 2L Akron Ohio 44306.
