Regretfully we are unable to attend the services for David. We are definitely thinking a lot about you all and holding you in our prayers.

May the music follow you, as you’ve followed it.

Paradise to you and yours, forevermore.

David has been part of my mountain and ski memories from the time I can remember.

He taught us all to love Reggae on long road trips to ski races.  He was always kind, goofy and deeply connected.  We had some of our first "spiritual experiences", lol, together as adolescents.  We share the same roots and linage as members of the Great Sunlight Ski team of the 90's.  It was there, we learned the valuable lessons the mountains and nature had to teach.  We learned about winning and losing, working hard towards a goal, overcoming our fear on a downhill course, getting up and trying over and over again no matter what the challenge was,  the pure joy of the outdoors and most importantly the value of the beautiful friendships we make along the way.

David and I moved to Jackson around the same time, We were inspired by a  last minute ski trip to Jackson from Colorado.  I fell in love with the Tetons, and I know David did too.   We were enchanted.  We shared some of our firsts in Jackson together; Taylor, Glory, Once is nice and Twice is enough, and some other stuff that both excited and frightened me.

I left Jackson and continued to follow David's life through friends and social media.  I was thrilled when I learned he met a beautiful mountain girl and got married.  I am also so proud that he was 5 years sober.  His spirit will always be in the mountains with us.  I will think of him when I'm out making turns with my dog, loved ones and friends, as he was, until the end.
