As memory serves, Dave and I were together all the way through school.  We were at St. Clement's through 8th grade.  We were in Cub Scout's together, same den for the most part.  We transferred over to Wolfe for 9th ... then on to CLHS.  After graduating ... I believe the next time we ran into each other was in 78-79 timeframe.  We were both in the U.S. Navy and quite coincidentally, at NAS Cubi Point, Philippines.  At the time, Dave was in VQ-1, an Intel squadron out of Guam, I was in VA-147, in CVW-9 aboard the USS Constellation (CV-64).  We tied up in Subic Bay ... somehow, I had heard he was in VQ-1 and operating there in the P.I.  I went in search and found him in one of the many quonset huts near the runway.  Needless to say, we pulled some P.I. liberty together and did our best to try to consume mass quantities of ice cold San Miguel beers!  As usual ... San Miguel won.  That's my last memory of Dave.  Coincidentally, his younger brother and mine, happen to be best friends.  Dave was a good person, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have spent some time with him.  Godspeed my brother!  Keep some San Magoo's on ice ... I should be there with you in short order.  "Fair winds and following seas," my brother!
Truly sorry to hear this.  We graduated together, Centerline High School.
