David "Dave" Jamroz, 86, of Jarrell, TX passed away peacefully on March 01, 2023, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Dave grew up in Texas, and he always loved the beauty of it. Dave would spend his free-time hiking, fishing, and stargazing in the Texas Hill-Country with his family and friends. He attended the University of Texas, where he earned his PhD in Geological Science. He worked for Southwestern University of Georgetown as a professor, for 38 years, and enjoyed teaching new generations. 

David was a son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed, and always remembered.

Dave was predeceased by his mother, Joanne (Till) Jamroz, his father, Vincent "Vinny" Jamroz, and wife, Rose (Roberts) Jamroz. He is survived by his children: Darleen & Jacob Whitman, Rhonda & Todd Mooney, David & Kelly Jamroz (II), and Robert Jamroz; His grandchildren: Gloria & Derek Brown, Kyle & Melissa Whitman, Justin Whitman, Tyler & Stephanie Mooney, Lauren Mooney, David Jamroz III, Serenity & Scott Stenman, Russell & Amanda Jamroz, Ellen Jamroz, and Brandon Jamroz; and his 8 great-grandchildren: Luke Brown, Darleen Brown, Neil Whitman, Seth Mooney, Nicholas Jamroz, Mychal Jamroz, Amber McMillan, and Sasha Jamroz.  Dave requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We invite all of Dave’s loved one's to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at the Georgetown Event Center on Saturday, March 11th, at 5:30 pm, following his private burial service.
