November 14, 1969 - May 28, 2024
David Nathaniel James Jr., 54, of Mooresville, North Carolina passed away suddenly on May 28, 2024. David was born to David and Kathy James on November 14, 1969 in Buffalo, New York. The family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he grew up, graduating from North Springs High School. David attended The University of Georgia and graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Following graduation, he began his career in Financial Services which took him to New York City where he spent fourteen years and met his wife, Holly. David and Holly settled in Mooresville, North Carolina where they started their family of three children.
David loved baseball, fishing, Porsches, Bruce Springsteen, and the Georgia Bulldogs. But he mostly loved his friends and family. He was a loyal friend and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. David would do anything he could for those he loved. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, David James, Sr., and survived by his wife, Holly, children Catherine Ann (10), Mary Elizabeth (5), and William David (4), mother, Kathy, sisters and spouses Leah Dixon and Marty, Amy Faulk and Brian, nephew and spouse Alex Dixon and Madison and their son Oakland, nieces Sarah Dixon, Katie Bean, Lily Bean, Aunts, and many cousins.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 1:00pm at St. Mark Catholic Church,
14740 Sumptown Rd., Huntersville, North Carolina with a reception following in the church activity building.
