David's obituary
David Carl Hudspith was born on December 5th, 1965, in Hollywood, CA, to Joseph Edwin Hudspith and Norma Lee Hudspith. He passed away on April 5th, 2024, after a two-year battle with colon cancer. He was 58 years old.
Dave was raised in a missionary family and spent most of his early years in Thailand. He graduated from the International School of Bangkok and LeTourneau University. He discovered his love of computers while helping his Dad learn how to use early computers in their work on the mission field. Dave went on to work in computer science, focusing on aviation and logistics. His last position was with Revenue Technology Services as the Vice President of Cargo Solutions.
Dave was known for his faithful presence, quick wit, and endless creativity. He was a devoted husband to his wife Cheri and a loving father to their son Matt and daughter-in-law Jordan. The most cherished moments of his last days were when he spent time with Carson, his beloved granddaughter.
Dave was also known for his endless love of hobbies, including photography, video games, and all types of cooking.
Dave was a treasured friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His willingness to serve people as a leader was evident in his work life and various church roles; we are grateful his memory will live on through their lives.
In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his mother, Norma Lee Hudspith, his brothers, Allan and William Hudspith, and their families.
