I met Dave through our mutual love of paintball. I was going through a tough time with my mental health but he was always there with a kind word.  He always reinforces the positives in every situation and was a good friend to me in my time of need.

I miss you mate.

I send him messages on Instagram all the time

Remembering the good times we shared on the forums. Always there with a wise word or a snippy anecdote. I miss you mate x

I never met you in the flesh but always considered a good friend.

Grace, I'm gutted to hear about your father. Dave was truly great. We didn't catch up often but when we did he always had words worth thinking over, and he was never one to shy from talking about his family. He was so enamored of you. Keeping you both in my thoughts.
Word cannot express the sadness of losing a loved one too soon. I have known David for many years. He was an interesting soul. He will be dearly missed.
David I knew you online as Truman, you were a wise head and always had a good word to say about folks. I loved your insight and sense of humour. Although we never met I will miss you friend. Vinny Paver
To David's family, words can not express how sorry I am for your loss. David was great to work with at Venture, we've missed him and we will continue to hold him in thought and include you now as well. Hoping that as you see how many lives he touched in such a positive way, you will find a tiny bit of peace and comfort during this very difficult time
Grace, with a heavy heart and warm memories, I am sending my condolences prayers to your entire family. David had a passion for the outdoors, especially his volunteer services in the community, his commitment with the Albuquerque Mountain Rescue Council (AMRC), and a love for hiking in the Sandia Crest. Your father was so proud of you and his new grandson. David was always sharing beautiful photos from his phone with us at work. He was such a kind hearted person with a warm sense of humor and I'm so glad that I had the pleasure of working with him.
A hike is being planned in his memory when I return home to Hawaii in January 2020.
May God give you and your family peace, comfort, and understanding.
Thank you for sharing your father with me as a dedicated colleague and a dear friend.
To Grace and all of David's family, I am so very sad to have lost David too soon. I worked with David for many years at Venture, and he was truly a bright light in my time with the company. David was funny and fun, smart and hard-working, creative and thoughtful.... he was absolutely the best. Back in the day, we would compare notes on raising teenage daughters,... Grace, he was always so proud of you and loved you so much. Please accept my condolences,
Doris Faust
To David's family - Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I worked with David closely here at Venture on many projects and always appreciated his professionalism and thoughtfulness. Grace, I met you many a January up here with your Dad when you were little. Prayers and God Bless!
It was truly a pleasure working with your father at Venture for many years. He was always up for grabbing lunch at unique places, except on fasting days. I will remember his passion for his work and his sense of humor. I can't even begin to express how my heart aches for you. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
David was my friend..good dude and a good role model.
Rest easy man
I met Mr. Hill originally in 2010, through a friendship with his daughter Grace.
He became one of the most steadfast and reliable role models I've ever been blessed to know, teaching me strength and self worth and various other aspects of character that I had been sorely needing, a truly good influence at a pivotal point in my teenage years.
I'm not sure who I would have been had he not been a part of my life, and today the world is colder without him in it.
I miss you, Mr. Hill.
I'll never forget the sound Japanese pirates make, or the family dinners you included me in, or the invaluable support you gave.
Danke schön.
