David's obituary
David L. Healy, 78, of Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025. Born in Connecticut on September 9, 1946, David led a life of service, dedication, and deep love for his family.
David began his career in the United States Air Force as a linguist, where he developed the skills and passion that would define his professional life. He later continued his service to the nation by joining the National Security Agency, where he served with distinction for several decades. His career took him around the world, with overseas assignments in Australia (1979–82 and 1985–87) and England (1993–96), as well as multiple stateside (CONUS) relocations including Hawaii (2001–06). He retired from the NSA with the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
In retirement, David embraced the simpler pleasures of life. He enjoyed golfing and playing poker with his friends, taking pride in his lawn work, relaxing with his favorite TV shows, and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma; daughters, Robyn and Debra; and his sister, Barbara Aniballi. He was preceded in death by his father, Garrett Healy, and mother, Edna Ganley.
David will be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loyal friend. His sharp mind, generous spirit, and unwavering love leave a lasting legacy.
