Pastor Hardy and his wife lived in Puerto Rico for some time and he pastored at Calvary Baptist Church in Bayamon. He married my husband and I (Jack and Robin Carreno). We are so sad to hear of his passing. Our love and prayers for his wife and family.❤️

David prayed with me weekly and encouraged me through the Net Community. I met David in 2017 after I was diagnosed with ZES and found out I had a gastrinoma tumor and had one removed that was cancerous. Still fighting and supporting others with Nets, in support groups David is missed by all and was a great supporter and prayer warrior.

I did not know David well, especially in the past 30 years as I only shared 1 meal with him in that span of time. I was a childhood friend of Billy, his youngest. This man made an impact on me and my walk with Christ. He served his family. As a preteen, I saw and took notice of that. He loved to learn about and share the love of Christ. I saw that, too. He was the first person that I ever saw make a telephone call from the Kroger parking lot with his bag phone in 1989, I think. I sat and rode around Dallas and Grand Prairie while sitting on a milk crate or 5 gallon bucket in a van that had the constant sound of tinking metal keys in his locksmith van. He showed me that a loving father could be silly and (interesting to a preteen boy) disgusting as he told his son to pull his toes to crack the toe knuckles.

David will be greatly missed by the neuroendocrine tumor group he so faithfully supported. His positive messages of love and faith gave me strength. His contributions to our welfare were invaluable!❤️

Hello, I am Sandy, David's wife. I have waited to add a post because it is hard to share right now. 52 years ago on Feb 5, I went into the common room in the women's dorm. A friend had his girlfriend on his knee. There was no place for me to sit so he told me to sit on his cousin's lap. I said I didn't even know him. In 11 months that cousin and I were married. That was 51 years ago. Like most couples, we have gone thru lots of ups and downs but God brought us thru. God gave us 3 children, 3 additional children by the children's marriage to our children, and then 7 grandchildren. We feel so blessed. We served in churches in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Puerto Rico. And he was also able to work with many pastors and potential pastors as well as serve as Facebook Chaplin in several groups. Our heart has always been to seek God and help others in their way to find the Lord and to serve Him. This man, David Hardy passed from earth to heaven on our 51 anniversary. He was so excited to get to go. He was also excited about the celebration we would have with his home going desiring all of you to get to attend. We plan to stream the service so those who cannot be there in person can still partake of the joyous time. I will share more in the next few days.
