David H. Sleeger, Jr., 87, of Allentown, PA passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the devoted husband of Doris with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Dave was born in York, PA and moved to Drexel Hill where he raised his family.

He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and the Corporate Director in charge of opening the first three WaWa stores. He later went into banking and sales until he semi-retired to Sebastian, FL. Ultimately, he moved to Allentown, PA to be closer to family.

Dave was active in the community and belonged to and held leadership positions in various organizations. He was Club President and Lieutenant Governor for the Optimist International in PA, Commander of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary of Philadelphia, PA, Post-Commander of the American Legion in FL and an original member of the Men's Group of Devonshire until his passing. He enjoyed sailing, reading, playing golf and camping.

His living legacy includes his wife, Doris; son Mark; daughters Wendy and her husband Ray, Carol and her husband Mike, and Lauren; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 22 from 1pm-3pm at the Devonshire Park Apartments Activity Room located at 1641 33rd Street SW, Allentown, PA 18103.
