David's obituary
Dr. David Frid, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather lost his life to the disease Multiple System Atrophy on April 6, 2023, He was born on June 18, 1955 in Washington D.C to his parents Zelda Heller and Louis Frid.
David did his Cardiology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center where he met his wife Robyn. He ended his career at Duke as Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Assistant Professor of Medicine. After leaving Duke, David began a long association with The Ohio State University Medical Center where he was the Medical Director of The Center for Wellness and Prevention, Executive Health Program, The National Center of Excellence In Women’s Health and the Division of Lifestyle Enhancement. He went on to work for Pfizer Corporation, Cleveland Clinic, Mount Carmel and his last position was at Icon Clinical Research. He was a dedicated physician who was loved by his patients. He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, his favorite thing to do was go to the football games with his son, son-laws and grandchildren. He had one rule: win or lose, always stay to sing Carmen Ohio together. David enjoyed watching M*A*S*H or listening to the Beatles, playing card games with his family, or helping one of his kids with a house project. Road trips were a must in his eyes, having driven the family all over the country. He had eclectic tastes from afternoons at a museum to a thrilling day at a theme park or a morning skiing in fresh snow.
David is survived by his wife Robyn, his daughters, Jamie and Lauren, his son Zachary, his brother Mitchell, his sister Lorin, his grandchildren Lily, Drew, Madeline, Graycen, Mason, his nieces Zoe, Sidney, Alana, and Tiffanie, his nephews Adam and Neil and his much-loved son-in-laws, Justin and Josh.
David is very loved and will be greatly missed!
