My name is John Becker and I grew up in Wapakoneta, Ohio. I just became aware of Dave's passing.

Dave and I were very good friends in high school at St. Joe in Wapakoneta. This was before he transferred to Lima Central Catholic. In addition to being best friends at school we traveled to the university of Notre Dame together to attend a Catholic Students Mission Crusade. We also traveled to Montreal, Canada to attend Expo 67. I was very disappointed when he moved to Lima because I always considered him my closest friend in high school. I enjoyed his wit and sense of humor so much. I always tried to imitate his clever way with words but never could match it. I regret that we were not able to stay in touch later in life.
