Dave was a very thoughtful soul. He always asked me how I was doing, and  how my autistic son, Nick, was doing. He put the concern for others ahead of his own. And it was always a joy to run into him in a club, because he was a positive presence who loved music and followed a lot of musicians quite regularly.

My sincere condolences to Dave's family and loved ones. I was in his 1987 graduation class.
