I was saddened a few weeks ago when Dudley came to me at church and told me David had died. David was my electrician’s helper many years ago at the coal mine and was one of the best. When I got to the point I needed a certain tool or part, David would already have it in his hand. We were also friends off the job and made a few clubs together back in my goofy days. He also took me scuba diving a couple of times. He had a wonderful dry sense of humor. As an example, he once told me that he “crammed 4 years into 5” at Sam Houston State. My sympathy and prayers to his family. I know he is dearly missed.
